Sabyasachi Mukherjee is all set to open a new flagship store in New York, the USA in 2020. This will be Mukherjee’s first international store, where he will showcase traditional men and women outfit collection.
“As the year comes to an end, it’s time to announce new beginnings,” wrote the designer on his brand’s Facebook page. “The Sabyasachi New York flagship store opens for business in September 2020.”
Sabyasachi is an Indian fashion designer born in Kolkata and opened his label Sabyasachi in 1999. He is also the Associate Member of the Fashion Design Council, India.
Sabyasachi’s fabulously designed attires are available in luxury multi-brand fashion boutiques in the UK and the US. NEW YORK’s Sabyasachi Flagship store will be the first brand outlet internationally. Sabyasachi Mukherjee currently operates a store in New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
He recently opened a new flagship store in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, dedicated to the launch of Sabyasachi heritage jewelry collection. He is motivated to expand the product lines and the presence of his label in 2020. The jewelry collection features fine boutique jewelry. The Maiden jewelry collection has uncut diamonds and 18-carat gold and gems pieces. Sabyasachi certainly has an eye for beautiful jewelry.
The designer also hosts his own TV show Band Baja Bride on Goodtimes TV. This year he organized the 9th season of the show. Sabyasachi also celebrated 20 years of his being in the Fashion industry.
Sabyasachi has designed costumes for Bollywood movies such as Baabul, Guzaarish, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, English Vinglish, and Raavan. Renowned Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt have walked the ramps for him and have been dressed by Sabyasachi for numerous occasions and award functions.
