After a year-long wait, supreme, a New York based brand is officially opening a new store in San Francisco. Rumour has it that the store will open on October 24, 2019. The brand released a preview of the San Francisco Skate video unveiling store location.
This is supreme’s fourth store in USA. The brand also has stores in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Los Angeles, Paris and London and various locations throughout Japan.
Supreme took out an ad in the San Francisco Chronicle announcing the launch and the address of the store. The San Francisco Store will be located at 1015 Market Street and will be managed by Reese Forbes, a former pro skater.
As seen in photos posted on the brand’s Instagram, the store’s interior is a vast industrial space lined with Supreme apparel. Also inside are several sculptures by artist Mark Gonzales, whose artwork has been featured in Supreme stores in Tokyo and London. The store also features a massive skate bowl at the rear of the industrial space, similarly to the legendary streetwear brand’s Brooklyn store.
For the opening of every new store, Supreme releases a location-specific box logo design that’s only available at the first in-store drop. The designs range from the obvious — a Union Jack box logo for the London store — to the slightly more thought-through, like the Hebrew box logo available at the opening of the LA location on Fairfax, a nod to the area’s historically Jewish roots.
Fans have speculated that the design will feature the Golden Gate Bridge, but currently, no reputable design leaks have surfaced.
Supreme gears up to release fall 2019 collection new collaborations with Levi’s and Clarks this week on October 24.
