After much expectancy, Nordstrom has finally opened its official first-ever flagship store for kids and women in the city of New York.
The store is opened for public on October 24th, and it is located at 225 West 57th Street at the base of Central Park Tower, the store is massive 320,000 square-foot. It offers seven levels of retail space for the customers to explore, including accessories, apparel, and three departments of shoes.
There is a vast collection of brands such as Saint Laurent, Dries Van Noten, Givenchy, Madewell, Topshop, Reformation, Longchamp, Fendi, Gucci, Prada, Loewe, Golder Goose, and Louboutin, and many others.
Under Nordstorm Vice President of creative projects, Olivia Kim-the flagship will feature a series of exceptional concepts that will include a five-room shop with Burberry. The products from the brand’s collection of Autumn/Winter 2019 and ‘space,’ which is a boutique featuring collection – these will be featured in this immersive shop.
Kim selected the collections from the brands such as Martine Rose, Jacquemus, Bode, Molly Goddard, Simone Rocha, with an exclusive release from Sandy Liang and Tom Wood.
This is not it; Nordstrom is partnering with Nike to open a sneaker boutique just for women. It will be hosting an exclusive launch of Jordan Air Latitude 720 sneaker with Swarovski, and Olivia Kim with Nike will release a capsule collection of apparel and sneakers, they will be coming to stores by October 31st.
Nordstrom’s customers can also have access to their exclusive digitally-enhanced services, including same-day delivery, 24/7 online pick-up, and delivery, only to eligible addresses, on-site alterations, and tailoring and a ‘Stylist’s Lounge’ for appointments with the stylist to get personalized digital styling experiences.
Nordstrom also said that they would distribute $5 million throughout New York City by the end of 2020, through combinations of community grants and investments.
