Grantchester season 7 landed on ITV, and PBS was hit with several puzzling cases of the late 1950s. These cases will be solved together by DI ‘Geordie’ (Robson Green) and Reverend Will Davenport (Tom Brittney).

The seventh season is set in the summer of 1959, right before the sixties. The series has plenty of murders and mayhems to be solved by the two detectives.

The fans will also see Tom Brittney making his debut as a director as he has stepped behin\d the camera this time to direct episode 3 of Grantchester season 7. Brittney says, “I’m thrilled to be back on set with my Grantchester family and back in our happy place,” reveals Tom. “I’m also absolutely over the moon to be allowed to direct an episode of this series, it’s been a life ambition of mine, and I can’t wait for the audience to see it (and I can finally order Robson about!).”

The Grantchester season 7 will air on ITV from Friday, March 11, 2022, at 9 PM every day. The show will run weekly at 9 PM on ITV and the ITV hub.

Grantchester season 7: Plot

The show marks its beginning with a long and hot summer set in 1959 when the Cambridgeshire Village is full of wedding vibes as the wedding season is at its peak. While Reverend Will Davenport has happily married a young lady, detective Geordie Keating is busy in his same routine, investigating a range of local murder cases.

With the sixties just around the corner, the question of what the future would bring is on everyone’s mind. Still, before the 50s got over, there were a lot of crimes cases waiting to be solved, and some major decisions were to be made that would probably change life in Grantchester forever.

Geordie is seen detaching from his family at the beginning of the show; he is living with Will at his place and is detached from not even his wife Cathy but also the kids. Soon after being lost and feeling like a fish out of water, geordie realizes that he is a bachelor again and has to get Cathy back. The story of Grantchester season 7 is very simple. Geordie met Cathy a long time ago and lost her due to his disinterest in the family but is now trying to get her back.

For this, geordie seeks Will’s advice, which sets a funny irony throughout the show.

In Grantchester season 7, Robinson green will be back as DI George, commonly known as Geordie Keating, while of course Tom Britney would be seen again as the sidekick, Reven will Davenport.
