Was the death pointless?

Did hange die?Despite the events of Attack on Titan, Hange lived a happy life with her daughter and son. Though she made many sacrifices for friends and family throughout her life, she lived a relatively happy ending. She may have chosen to die so that people could save Eren, but that seems like a last-resort measure. If it had been any other choice, then Hange would have probably done something more positive such as going out into the forest with the Survey Corps or leaving him to be devoured peacefully in her own home.

Conclusion:

Hange’s sacrifice showed her dedication to her passion for science and loyalty to those she loves. Hange’s death was somewhat pointless as she could have refrained from making Eren eat the Titan meat, but to try and save him by killing herself could have been more effective. Unfortunately, people meant Hange’s death to be the sacrifice that would save Eren’s life. Still, with so many other options, such as leaving him to be eaten by Titans or going into the forest and risking her own life, Hange tried to find a way to spare Eren from death without sacrificing herself.
